442 mile estimated cycling tour across South Dakota.

474.3-mile actual miles due to detours

 

Baum completed eight drawings on tour documenting the wind, road conditions and various movements of the bike across the terrain.

 

Dieken documented and collected data from the various locations and scenes with a medium format camera. After the tour, she cast 99 porcelain water bottles and two bike helmets, a 5ft x 8ft woven rubber sculpture, and one conjoined wooden hanger with cycling jersey.
